Q. Can Binda Baby Essentials Products be used on newborn babies?
Yes. Our pure skin care range is especially designed for babies and children and contains only 100% natural plant based products. Our minimalist formula means that our products contain around half the number of ingredients than other baby skin care ranges. This is important because children have immature digestive and excretory systems that we don’t want to bombard with so many ingredients natural or otherwise.
It is advised by skincare specialists that babies be bathed in plain water for the first 2-4 weeks of their lives. However, there may be times during this period when the use of a mild baby wash used sparingly is necessary, for example, when they are being handled by friends, relatives or siblings who may be carrying germs.
Q. My daughter has eczema/sensitive skin. Are Binda products suitable?
Absolutely. Medical recommendations for the treatment of eczema include: reducing trigger factors; the use of a regular gentle emollient (moisturiser). Every ingredient in the Binda Baby Essentials range has been researched using up-to-date medical journals to ensure that they are safe. Our baby moisturiser is formulated with protective and nourishing sunflower oil and vitamin E, restoring and maintaining moisture to even the driest of skins.
Q. My Son is allergic to nuts. Do any of your products contain nut oils?
No. All of our products are absolutely 100% nut-free. With nut allergy on the increase, it made sense for us to use safer cold-pressed plant based oils such as Sunflower oil, Apricot Kernel oil, Jojoba oil and Rice Bran oil. Just a little note - one of our ingredients, coconut, is actually from the seed family and not a nut.
Q. I have heard a lot of bad things about preservatives. Can you tell me about yours?
Binda Baby Essentials is very proud of the natural preservative it utilises. It is a 100% natural orange extract that is broad spectrum (bacterial and fungal action). Our products have a shelf life of around 12-18 months, which is less then the chemically preserved products that are available, and this is simply because a natural preservative is a lot less toxic than its chemical rival. You can support the lifespan of your products by dipping clean fingers in your creams and storing products away from direct sunlight and at room temperature.
Q. My daughter has incredibly bad cradle cap. Can you suggest any natural solutions?
Yes. Binda Baby Essentials Baby Massage Oil is the perfect remedy. Simply apply the oil to your baby’s dry scalp and gently rub with a dry washcloth. Allow enough product so that the cradle cap is moistened. Allow to absorb for a few minutes then gently comb away the flakes. Use Binda Baby Shampoo to wash off the excess oily residue.
